    Masuda's career at Nissan started in 2011 and held various leadership roles in Market Intelligence, Brand and Media Strategy. Prior to his new position, he was the Chief Marketing Officer for Japan Product Marketing and Brand and Media Strategy.

    Before going to Nissan, he was in the fast-moving consumer goods industry. “His experience in data analytics and consumer insights will help Nissan Philippines navigate the ever-changing consumer landscape in the country,” Nissan said in a statement.

    Hoyos' next assignment

    Masuda’s main objective is to lead the company’s local arm to its new chapter following the success that Juan Manuel Hoyos enjoyed in the country.

    Meanwhile, Hoyos — who was the NPI leader since April 2022 — who will serve as the new president of Nissan Importers Business Unit in the Americas.

    It was during his time when NPI launched the all-new Nissan Kicks e-PowerLivinaGT-RZ, and new Almera with NissanConnect Services.

    The introduction of the said models helped boost the brand’s sales figures in the Philippines — allowing the marque to achieve 37 percent growth by end of fiscal year 2023.
